Health Community APP <FitCok>

Date: 2022-04-01
Stacks:React-native

⭐️ Project Overview

During my internship at Gymmon, I was responsible for the development of the Fitcok App service community. It was a small-scale startup with one Front-end developer, one Back-end developer, one Designer, one Project Manager, and one CTO. We held regular meetings and collaborated using tools such as Zeplin, Jira, Slack, and Notion.

I developed the Cross-Platform app using React-Native and worked closely with the designer to implement features according to the design specifications. Although most of the Front-End features were completed, the project was halted before connecting to the Back-End API. Implemented features included notification, category classification, community post and comment functionalities, and liking posts.

Unfortunately, due to internal circumstances within the company, the service was not launched, and as the internship ended, the project's link and source code were made private.

💡 Reflections

  • As a novice intern, it took me a while to adapt, and unfortunately, the development of the service was suspended before completion. Nevertheless, being the sole Front-End developer in a startup project, I had the opportunity to learn and gain practical experience from scratch to deployment.
  • I focused on accurately implementing the designs provided by the designer through Zeplin, ensuring responsive design to support various devices. It trained me to pay attention to every detail of the design and not miss any aspect.
  • Collaborating using various tools, attending regular meetings, and participating in project planning (e.g., discussing the content to be included in the community) helped me understand collaboration tools used in the industry. It also gave me confidence that I can lead projects in the future, either in a similar experience or when I become a project leader or start my own venture.
